Boise Symposium Recap

Boise Symposium Recap

Last weekend, Team Members and guests gathered from all around to attend the Synergy Symposium in Boise, Idaho. These men and women were treated to a special business-building education, a panel of guest speakers, and a warm, energetic crowd.

“The enthusiasm was terrific,” said Synergy Founder Dan Higginson, one of the event’s guest speakers. “It was a group of great people who really are working hard to leave a legacy. You know, we talk all day at Synergy about team work and how the team mentality is the only way to really succeed. These people get it. They were there to help, encourage and learn from each other. It was great to see. It was great to be a part of the event.”

Dan Higginson was joined by Dan Austin of the High Desert Heart Institute, Presidential Executive Scott Brumfield, and other outstanding leaders. Each of them spoke to the crowd helping them better understand the Synergy Advantage. The enjoyable kick-off event was hosted on Friday night, and the main-event was held Saturday featuring in-depth trainings, helpful presentations, an enjoyable luncheon, and a high-value education.

Team Leader and Event Host Pamela Krajnik remarked: “The people there were feeling the passion so strongly. It was great to have the support from Synergy’s corporate team and everyone who came. There was so much emotion at the Symposium and such a high level of commitment. I’d say it was a great success.”

Synergy WorldWide thanks all of the Symposium attendees. Thank you for your time, your positivity and your success, present and future. Special thanks to Pamela Krajnik, to Bill Styles, to all the guest speakers, and to everyone who worked hard to make the event a success. We look forward to the great things that lie ahead of all who attended.

SLMsmart Success Follow Up: Paul Allred

SLMsmart Success Follow Up: Paul Allred

Before and Current.
Notice the same shirt being worn in both photos!

Earlier this year we published a story about a few of our fantastic Synergy corporate employees who had put the SLMsmart Weight Management System to the test. You may remember that Mr. Paul Allred (Web Marketing Manager, I.T. expert, devoted Real Salt Lake fan), at the end of the 90 day challenge, had lost 39 pounds. That remarkable transformation meant a loss of 11.9% of his starting body weight.

That may have been the end of the employee challenge, but it wasn’t the end of Paul’s determination or ambition. He didn’t stop. He hasn’t stopped. “The results are addicting,” said Paul. “Seeing the fat come off and making progress is really cool. I still had more to lose, so I’m still going.”

As of today, just six months after his first days of using SLMsmart, Paul is down 66 pounds total. That is 20.2% of his starting body weight!

“I feel great. My wife and I joke about the fact that I’ve lost the weight equivalent of my daughter-times-five. I can’t believe I used to be carrying that much weight around all the time.”

Paul has never doubted the power that the SLMsmart system has to help him achieve these results. “It’s so nice to have all the stuff you need to lose weight in one nice little package. That’s what the SLMsmart system is for me.”

“It really gave me a lot of motivation, especially at the start, which was when [losing weight] was the most difficult. Now, it doesn’t even seem that hard anymore, so I can keep going, no problem.”

Along with eating Essential Foods and using the products, Paul has found exercise to be incredibly enjoyable. One of Utah’s biggest soccer fans (though “biggest” hardly seems like the most accurate word these days), Paul spends time during the week on the field, participating in local soccer leagues and pickup games with friends and coworkers. As he has lost the weight, he’s gained endurance, speed and the ability to better enjoy the game.

More importantly, Paul feels healthier and better able to enjoy his family. “My wife is happy for me, and I feel better about the example I’m setting for my daughter. I did 90% of it for my daughter. I had to make some life changes and I didn’t want Nora to make the same choices I did when I was younger. So I made them and am now creating some good health values and an overall healthy atmosphere at home.”

All of us here at Synergy WorldWide are very excited for Paul and happy for the success he continues to earn. As he and others use SLMsmart to more effectively manage their weight, we wish them all the best as they enjoy the results and the benefits of a healthier lifestyle.

Thoughts from Synergy’s Newest Team Managers

Thoughts from Synergy’s Newest Team Managers

Last month we saw three of our North American Team Members rise up in ranks to the level of Team Manager. Hitting this important milestone on the Synergy Success Track is a wonderful step and we were happy to congratulate each one of them.

Now, as we approach the holidays, the end of 2013 and the beginning of a fresh new year, we asked these new Team Managers to share a few quick thoughts on their recent rank advancement and what lies ahead. Here are their responses:

Joy Matwyshen, the Villages, FL: “Richard and I began our business with a deep passion to help people with their health. Then we got the vision that we could only reach and help the masses by building a team and becoming a true leader. I made a serious commitment in October 2012 to build a strong organization. I declared on paper and in my heart that we would make Team Manager by December 2013 and 10k a month by the end of 2014. We beat the timing of our goal to make Team Manager by two months, and now our plan is to reach Team Director by April 2014 or before.

We also took the promotional challenges set in place by the company for 2013 very, very seriously. We never once said: ‘That’s too big, there isn’t enough time, we can’t possible make it, there’s no way,’ or any of those other negative statements people defeat themselves with. Instead we always said: ‘Okay, we can do this!'”

Sandra & Ed Kerner, Brown City, MI: “This is just the beginning. We love working with people and helping them change their lives. We are excited. We will be even more excited when we advance again.”

Roger & Stefanie Hunt, Pleasant Grove, UT: “My focus for the coming year is to make myself increasingly effective and to help as many people as I can to find the same satisfaction and success that I’ve been fortunate enough to find.

I’m very happy. I couldn’t have done it without my wife. We’re partners in this. It’s been great.”
